This retro necklace blends gemstones and glass in stunning colors and patterns. An adjustable leather cord makes it the perfect fit.

A large, heart-shaped stone is the centerpiece of this necklace. It shares the stage with funky, reconstituted howlite beads and handmade, citrusy yellow lampworked rectangular beads. A pair of whilte howlite nuggets finish the piece, which is set with antique brass floral spacers. The necklace is strung on a narrow, brown leather cord, which is fully adjustable from approximately 28″  to choker length.

Howlite is a beautiful, under-appreciated gemstone that’s wonderful for making beads of every shape. It readily accepts dyes, and is often used to simulate turquoise. Natural howlite is white in color with a rich matrix of veins. Some of the howlite in this necklace has been reconstituted into a unique and playful pattern.
